Established in 1917, The Journal of Urology®, the official journal of the American Urological Association (AUA), has been named one of the 100 most influential journals in the last 100 years by the Special Libraries Association, a professional group of subject specialist librarians and publishing industry representatives.
Tony Stankus, Life Sciences Librarian and Editor-in-Chief of the BioMedical & Life Sciences Division of the Special Libraries Association, stated: “The Journal of Urology® competed, naturally enough, in the ‘Urology & Related Basic Sciences’ category, and there is no simpler way to say this but you got more votes than the five other fine journals on the ballot put together.”
“The AUA is proud to see its official journal honored as one of the top 100 most influential journals,” said AUA Executive Director Michael T. Sheppard, CPA, CAE.
The Journal of Urology® is currently published by Elsevier New York.
